The business landscape in the world as we know it is highly volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous. In other words, change is constant and organizational agility is key to our success. By this, we harness the ability to reorganize ourselves around the problems we are trying to solve.
At QDivision we embody the Agile manifesto with our core values.
Core Value: Deliver Excellence
The manifesto states:
- Our highest priority is to satisfy the customer through early and continuous delivery of valuable software.
- Deliver working software frequently, from a couple of weeks to a couple of months, with a preference to the shorter timescale.
- Continuous attention to technical excellence enhances agility
Through this, we have created a culture that focuses on small teams with purpose who are constantly gaining feedback from our customers to deliver that value. We work hard to release small increments of value that are of high quality. It’s simple when you think about it, fewer bugs and less rework equals more value delivered over time.
Core Value: Embody Ownership
The manifesto states:
- Build projects around motivated individuals. Give them the environment and support they need, and trust them to get the job done.
- Welcome changing requirements, even late in development. Agile processes harness change for the customer’s competitive advantage.
- The primary measure of progress is working software
We give our team’s problems to solve and they own the outcomes of those problems. Teams are empowered to own their process and how they deliver. Ideas are always welcomed and if you have one, we support the initiative to share and try those.
Core Value: Collaborate Openly
The Manifesto states:
- Business people and developers must work together daily throughout the project.
- The most efficient and effective method of conveying information to and within a development team is a face-to-face conversation.
First and foremost, we are a collective team with a common purpose to Unigroup. We are expected and encouraged to communicate continuously. Asking for help is seen as a quality of leadership. We regularly pair or mob on problems within and across our teams.
Core Value: Innovate and Inspire
The Manifesto states:
- We are uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it.
- The best architectures, requirements, and designs emerge from self-organizing teams.
- At regular intervals, the team reflects on how to become more effective, then tunes and adjusts its behavior accordingly.
F.A.I.L.- First Attempt In Learning. From regular tech talks and continuous improvement, innovation and inspiration come from learning. We experiment on new ways of approaching the problems we are asked to solve and celebrate our lessons learned.
Core Value: Invest in People
The Manifesto states:
- We value individuals and interactions over process and tools
- We value customer collaboration over contract negotiation
- Build projects around motivated individuals. Give them the environment and support they need, and trust them to get the job done.
- Agile processes promote sustainable development. The sponsors, developers, and users should be able to maintain a constant pace indefinitely.
We focus on our employees and customers first. We promote individual and team growth, through mentorship, coaching, and training. We hope to cultivate a culture of trust and respect. We recognize our people are our knowledge base and are core to our capabilities. Investing in the growth and care of our people will gain their investment in our company.
As one team we embody these values and focus our mindset on agility. Working together to shift and change allows us to deliver to our users.
